FC Expo in Japan: SITEC presents complete solutions for the production of bipolar plates

The FC Expo is considered as the world’s largest trade fair for hydrogen and fuel cells, which is held twice a year in Tokyo. From March 16 – 18, 2022 the leading, international exhibition took place already for the 18th time. It offered their exhibitors and visitors solutions about technologies, components, and materials around the topics of hydrogen production and storage as well as about fuel cell research.

Together with Feintool System Parts Asia, SITEC used the presence of the exhibition to introduce their own product portfolio and competences around the fuel cell to an international public.

Furthermore, the joint performance had a very special reason: For the first time the two in Asia cooperating companies presented their leading solution for the production of bipolar plates to a wide audience. The FC Expo was the ideal place for this, because already next year, one of four production lines will be put into operation at Feintool’s plant in Taicang (China). The production capacity amounts up to 10,000,000 bipolar plates per year, with the main focus on the supply for the Asian market. With high-tech machines and tools for FEINforming, FLEXwelding and quality control, so called FLEXinspection, there is the possibility to produce the separator plates for fuel cells from prototypes to small and large series.
